Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Hotel Review

A Fantastic All-Inclusive Resort

Spread the love

We stayed at the beach resort, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos in the first part of July 2017. This hotel was beautiful, relaxing, and felt very safe. The hotel staff were eager to meet our needs and quickly addressed any issues with had during our stay. Detailed below are the things we loved most about the resort, but, I will start with this… we loved our stay with Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and would recommend this resort, as well as, other resorts in the Hyatt Ziva family. Hyatt reputation with Mexican hospitality is a win-win.

Large Comfortable Hotel Rooms

The standard hotel room has plenty of room for all family members to have their own space. The bathroom is large and has lots of space. A great clothes line to hang swimsuits. Each room comes equipped with a mini-refrigerator, containing water, soft drinks, and beer. The best part of the hotel room, in my humble opinion, was the kick-ass air condition. Ahhhh…. am I the only one who judges a hotel room by how well the air-condition performs?

Beach Views

Although the water is absolutely not swimmable, the beach was stunning! My family and I would always take time before dinner to just soak up the endless views. I could stare at the water all day long.

Gorgeous Pool {or should I say pools}

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has four pools and they are all fabulous. Here is a run down with photos:

Main Pool – This pool is front and center of the hotel’s property and it is beautiful. The pool is ringed with cushioned lounge chairs and comes with lots of shade or sun, whatever you prefer.

Swim-Up Bar Pool – Our daughter called this the “drinking pool” and I have to admit, another time in my life, this would have been an amazing pool to just chill and drink. The view of the beach and sea from the pool is amazing. The drinks were also made quickly and were always delicious.

Kid’s Pool – This play area has several fun slides and lots of water pouring down and all around. Kids love this area because it is FUN; parents love this area because it is shockingly quite. This pool also has lots of cushioned lounge chairs and plenty of shade. Also…close to bathrooms. Why do kids have to wait until the last minute to tell you they have to go potty?! I quickly learned that wet one-piece swimsuits with built in SPF are nearly impossible to peel off a child with an impatient bladder.

Adult-Only Pool – To be honest, we didn’t even dip a toe in this pool, but it looked beautiful and inviting. I was very impressed at the size of the pool…plenty of room to splash around without screaming kids. If you are looking for a quite pool, then this would be the place for you!

Amazing Coffee House

You all know how much I LOVE coffee. To be specific, how much I love really, really good coffee. Thankfully, a coffee house was included in our all-inclusive rate at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Delicious lattes and iced coffees whenever I craved one. This shop also had light breakfast items, pastries, and ice cream! We visited this shop at least twice per day.

Pool Side Guacamole and Made-to-Order Tacos/Quesadillas

I’m salivating over my memory of these two items!!! Each day, we would order guacamole while lounging at the pool. It was fresh and delicious. But, even though I really loved the guacamole, it doesn’t even compare to how delicious the made-to-order tacos and quesadillas from the pool cart! Oh. My. Yum. The made-to-order tacos were worth the trip to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos all by themselves! Sadly (for you), I was too busy eating them to snap a picture.

Fun Evening Shows

Each night, the hotel puts on a super fun show in the theater. These shows are typically filled with singing, dancing, and lots of vibrant colors. Our daughter loved each show – especially at the end when they invited all the kids on stage for the grand finale. The Hyatt Ziva performers danced and sang their hearts out!!!

Restaurants, Bars, & Snacks

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has tons of restaurants within the cost of your stay. They literally have something for everyone. If you are looking for American, Italian, Mexican, Spanish, Asian, or French… they have you covered!  Our absolutely favorite restaurant was, Dozo, the Asian Restaurant. I would have never expected such quality of food at an all-inclusive hotel! The hibachi and sushi were fantastic; first-class food and service. Our second favorite was Zaffiro – the beach-side Italian restaurant. Here is a tip: If you are interested in one restaurant, yet your spouse is interested in another, they will let you order from both menus!

Tiny bars are spotted across the resort’s property. Our favorite was the martini bar. Great service, great drinks, and occasionally, outdoor entertainment. I’d love to be sitting there now, sipping a drink, and feeling the warm ocean breeze.

Lastly, they have a 24-hour snack bar. At anytime, you can walk in and grab a burrito, muffins, veggies, soft drink, etc. This was an excellent stop after a long day of swimming.

Proximity to Airport

The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is one of the closest beach resorts to the airport. Instead of a 40 minute drive to many other hotels, this one was simply 20 minutes max. It was fantastic to start our vacation so quickly after landing. It was also fantastic to have time for more fun in the sun before we had to head back to the airport. Speaking of the airport, if you haven’t flown into Los Cabos International Airport before, you might want to read my post on it.

Have you stayed at this hotel? Have you stayed at one of their other Ziva properties? I’d love to hear from you about your experiences.

I have so many more pictures to share of this beautiful resort! I will be posting my stash all week long on my Instagram account! Please check it out!

Happy Travels, Tara
